Yum Yum Elum!

Check out the beautiful designs at Elum. My sister in law and brother in law just sent me some gorgeous paper from Elum Letterpress for my birthday, and it's simply sumptuous.

I LOVE STICKERS

From the age of 5 until the age of 20, I loved stickers. I never really stopped loving them, but I stopped collecting and trading them, stopped spending money on them, stopped thinking about them in general. They were like old boyfriends, at first hard to break up with face-to-face, then mere acquaintances I ran into unexpectedly, then just blurry enough to be a soft-focus memories on a sleepy day.

And now at a certain 30ish-something-age (muffle muffle), I reclaim my love of stickers. Thanks to Sticker Planet, tucked neatly inside of the Farmers Market on Fairfax in Los Angeles, my obsession has started again. I have gone into the store a couple of times previously, but tonight, I went in right before closing with my British friend, Vanessa, right after our night out.

I gave into the old addiction. $7.82 later, I was hooked again. Seriously, I could have bought every sticker in the store- every Mrs. Grossman, Lisa Frank, Peanuts, and even the more ornate and puffy ones that just aren't my thing...they just appeal so much to me and there were so many to be tempted by surrounding me.The only reason I left with so few was because the store was closing. But I could feel that my very sticky habit was back, and here to stay.

Yikes!

There's a Place for Us...

Ever thought about starting or joining a Letter Writer's Club? I don't really think there is any kind of anonymous self-help program out there for us, and if you know of one, let me know. Until then, I suggest we all check into The Letter Writers Alliance.

Me: My name is Kayla, and I love good paper.

You All: Hi Kayla.

And now, awkward, nerdy silence.
